About Pigeon Island National Landmark
Pigeon Island sits on Saint Lucia's northwestern coast. Once an isolated landmass, a man-made causeway linked it to the mainland in 1972. The 44-acre site was designated a National Landmark in 1992 and is managed by the Saint Lucia National Trust.
The park blends colonial history with natural landscapes. Visitors can explore the 18th-century ruins of Fort Rodney, built by the British. A moderate hike to the 225-foot summit offers panoramic views of Rodney Bay and neighboring Martinique.
Beyond the Forts & Trails, the park features two sandy beaches for swimming and snorkeling. Read more about Snorkeling Guide or check the details on the Entrance Fees Guide.
